Biography
Alin was born Décember 30, 1983 in Cluj-Napoca
(Romania), his actual residence. He had a liking for
painting from his early childhood. Being a great
admirer of Nicolae Grigorescu, he starts to reproduce
some of his work, at age of 13, with a surprising talent by now.

School of Art, in Targu-Mures (Romania), having. He graduated in 2006, having Mrs. Lucia Calinescu as a teacher.
Alin seeks different styles and techniques, but his favourites remain portraiture and the oil on canvas technique.
He made a lot of portraits of people around him serving as models, or using photos sent by clients.
Then, in 2009, he decides to take the "great jump", starting to make his firts portraits not using models.
He lets him self inspired by situations in everyday life, or characters met occasionally, but he prefers rendering expressions and feelings turning out in these moments.
Alin Bogatean 's paintings can't leave anyone insensible: amusing or serious (to the limit of sadness), clear-eyed or dreamer, they all have emotional reactions when getting sight of his works. Far away from being sarcastic,
his paintings let the viewer to understand a great sensibility and affection for people.
In addition, Alin combines painting with his hobby, the caricature. This interlacing gives a very personal style,
witch he tries to define, step by step.
